Free swine flu vaccinations for members of the public in high-risk groups will be offered during an H1N1 Immunization Clinic from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the East Concourse of Prather Coliseum on the Northwestern State University campus in Natchitoches.
The clinic is for those in five high-risk categories as identified by the Centers for Disease Control. The categories include: pregnant women; health-care workers; persons caring for or living with infants 6 months old or less; anyone from 3-24 years old, including college students; and anyone from 25-64 years old with medical conditions.
Those receiving the vaccine will be asked to wait in the monitoring area for 20 minutes after being immunized. The entire process will take at least 30 minutes.
